Expressing Robot Personality through Talking Body Language

Social robots must master the nuances of human communication as a mean to convey an effective message and generate trust. It is well-known that non-verbal cues are very important in interactions, therefore social robot should produce body language coherent with its discourse. In this work, we report on system endows humanoid ability adapt according sentiment speech. A combination talking beat gestures emotional such eye lightings, posture voice intonation volume permits rich variety behaviors. The developed approach not purely reactive, it easily allows assign kind personality robot. We present several videos two different scenarios, showing discrete histrionic personalities.
